SITE SETTING <br /> 2.1 SITE LOCATION <br /> According to the 1987 photorevised U.S. Geologic Service 7.5-Minute Topographic Map, <br /> the CNP Plant and Rapid Infiltration (McKinley Avenue Area) sites are located in the <br /> Eastern '/z of the NE '/4 of Section 26 of Township 1 South Range 6 East of the Mount <br /> Diablo Base Line & Meridian (MDBL&M). The elevation of the property is shown to be <br /> approximately 15 to 20 feet above mean sea level (msl). <br /> Specifically, the plant is located at 1250 East Lathrop Road in Lathrop, California. The <br /> property is located approximately two miles east of the San Joaquin River, and <br /> immediately east of the Southern Pacific Railroad. The McKinley Avenue Area for <br /> wastewater discharge is located south of the plant on McKinley Road. Three monitoring <br /> wells were installed in the South Louise Avenue Infiltration area in June 2001. In March <br /> 2003, the South Louise Avenue Infiltration Area began receiving wastewater. In April <br /> 2004 three additional monitoring wells were installed in the North Louise Avenue <br /> Infiltration Area. Discharge of wastewater began in the North Louise Avenue Infiltration <br /> Area in May 2004. <br /> ' CNP is bordered to the north by Lathrop Road beyond which is Sharpe Army Depot <br /> (Sharpe). The plant is bordered to the west by railroad tracks, beyond which is <br /> commercial and residential property. The properties to the south are industrial properties. <br /> The site is bordered on the east by McKinley Avenue, beyond which is industrial and <br /> residential property. <br /> The Louise Avenue Infiltration Area is located in the Eastern '/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of <br /> Section 25 of Township 1 South Range 6 East of the MDBL&M.
