1 KLE/NFELDER <br /> Brlphthqle.PlphtSalutiwu. <br /> 2 SITE SETTING <br /> 2.1 SITE LOCATION <br /> According to the 1987 photorevised U.S. Geologic Service 7.5-Minute Topographic Map, the <br /> CNP plant is located in the Eastern '/ of the NE 1/4 of Section 26 of Township 1 South Range 6 <br /> East of the Mount Diablo Base Line & Meridian (MDBL&M). The elevation of the property is <br /> 1 shown to be approximately 15 to 20 feet above mean sea level (msl). <br /> 1 Specifically, the plant is located at 1250 East Lathrop Road in Lathrop, California. The property <br /> is located approximately two miles east of the San Joaquin River, and immediately east of the <br /> Southern Pacific Railroad. The MARIA is located south of the plant on McKinley Road. Three <br /> monitoring wells were installed in the SLAIA in June 2001. In March 2003, the SLAIA began <br /> receiving wastewater. In April 2004, three additional monitoring wells were installed in the <br /> NLAIA. Discharge of wastewater began in the NLAIA in May 2004. <br /> CNP is bordered to the north by Lathrop Road beyond which is Sharpe Army Depot (Sharpe). <br /> The plant is bordered to the west by railroad tracks, beyond which is commercial and residential <br /> property. The properties to the south are industrial properties. The site is bordered on the east <br /> by McKinley Avenue, beyond which is industrial and residential property. <br /> iThe NLAIA and SLAIA (hereafter referred to collectively as N/SLAIA) is located in the Eastern <br /> '/ of the Southwest '/< of Section 25 of Township 1 South Range 6 East of the MDBL&M. The <br /> elevation of the property is shown to be approximately 20 to 25 feet above ms]. <br /> ' 2.2 SITE OPERATIONS <br /> The project site is currently an operating food processing plant with associated storage, offices, <br /> parking, and landscaping. The site has its own wastewater treatment plant and land discharge <br /> area for the treated effluent. <br /> The following information was obtained from a report dated September 18, 2001 titled <br /> "Additional Information for the Report of Waste Discharge" by Bonneau Dickson of Berkley, <br /> California.
