M KLEIN FELDER
comer of the rapid infiltration area and McKinley Avenue. Please see the revised Plate 5
attached.
Both of the proposed upgradient well locations are in-line with Wells W-2 and W-4, this
alignment makes interpretation of the groundwater elevation more difficult. The proposed well
location shall be placed in a location that is not in-line with the existing wells.
The additional upgradient monitoring well installed near the 17.6-acre rapid infiltration area will
be installed near the southeast comer of the rapid infiltration area and McKinley Avenue. The
well location will not be in-line with W-4.
The addendum recommends reconfiguring the 16.0-acre land application area to prevent
wastewater application in the area of L-1. That is acceptable with written confirmation from
California Natural Products that a berm will be installed and wastewater will not be applied
within 50 feet of the well.
California Natural Products shall provide a written confirmation statement that a berm shall be
constructed 50 feet from L-1 to prevent the flow of application water near the monitoring well.
The addendum failed to provide a schedule for implementation of the workplan. California
Natural Products shall install the additional well by 26 December 2002. By 24 February 2002
the well installation report shall be submitted.
The RWQCB again requested a time schedule for the implementation of the workplan, yet has
failed to take notice of the Anticipated Schedule included in the Kleinfelder's original workplan,
Section 4, page 9. The following time schedule for the implementation of the workplan shall
apply:
Anticipated Schedule Task
Week 0 Submittal of workplan to RWQCB
Week 0-2 RWQCB review and comment on workplan*
Week 2-4 Revisions if needed and RWQCB approval of workplan*
Week 4-6 Permitting and subcontractor scheduling**
Week 6-7 Monitoring well installation and development (by December 26,
2002)
Week 8 Monitoring well sampling
Week 8-10 Laboratory analysis**
Week 10-12 Report preparation and submittal to California Natural Products
February 24, 2003 Submittal of groundwater monitoring well installation report to
RWQCB by California Natural Products
* Kleinfelder has no control over the time required by a regulatory agency to review and approve a workplan and
permit applications.
**Kleinfelder has no control over the time required or time frame that subcontractors place on outlined tasks.
C20-4587-OI.MNI/STO21,262 Page 3 of 4
Copyright 2002,Kleinfelder,Inc.
