HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> The following substance(s) or hazards are known or suspected to be on site. <br /> SUBSTANCE&INVOLVED.::.:::.:::: ,:: ,: CONCENTRATIONS: <br /> Benzene Up to 13 �tg/kg <br /> Toluene Up to 760/.cg/kg <br /> Ethyl-benzene Up to 1,800,ug/kg <br /> Total xylenes Up to 16,000,ug/kg <br /> MTBE Up to 3,500,ug/kg <br /> Motor Oil Up to 92 mg/kg <br /> Diesel Up to 75 mg/kg <br /> Gasoline Unkown- none detected <br /> The primary hazards of each are identified as follows: <br /> 1. Hydrocarbon fuels Components of fuels are colorless liquids with strong aromatic <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-like odors. They are flammable and have low solubility in water. <br /> Exposure to these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, <br /> nose, and throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the central nervous system. <br /> Symptoms of exposure at these concentrations include headache, nausea, drowsiness, <br /> dizziness,and loss of coordination.Certain components of gasoline(BTE&X etc.)are known <br /> or suspected carcinogens. <br /> The additional potential hazards include: Slip-trip-fall hazards noise heavy qui mp ent (i e <br /> Geoprobe rig). vibration hazards traffic hazards etc <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
