' 28 June 2004
. AGE-NC Project No 97-0300
' 3.0. FINDINGS
Ground water elevation, flow direction and gradient were determined from field data collected on
' 22 January 2004, the contaminant impact to ground water was assessed from the ground water
laboratory data
3 1 GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT
' The depths to ground water in wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 were measured between 51 10 and
51 60 feet below the tops of the well casings Ground water elevations at the site were calculated to
be between 33 85 feet and 33 94 feet below mean sea level, ground water elevations are depicted in
I Figure 3 Ground water elevations have decreased at the site an average 7 04 feet between the March
2001 and the January 2004 ground water monitoring events On 22 January 2004,the general ground
water flow direction at the site was inferred to be toward the northwest at an estimated gradient of
' 0 002 ft/ft or less, approximately 11 feet per mile (Figure 3)
' . 3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' TPH-g, TPH-d, TPH-mo and BTEX constituents were not detected from the laboratory analysis
MTBE was detected (by EPA Method 8020) from wells MW-1 and MW-2 at concentrations of
I 0 6 µg/1 and 0 75 µg/l,respectively,MTBE was confirmed(utilizing EPA Method 8260)from well
MW-2 at a concentration of 0 55 gg/l
' No other constituents of concern were detected from the laboratory analysis Analytical results of
the ground water samples are summarized in Tables 2 and 3 The laboratory report(Castle Analytical
Laboratory Reference No 6565),quality assurance and quality control reports and chain-of-custody
' forms are presented in Appendix B
I
I
Advanced GeoEnvlronmentnl,Inc
I
