Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2000
. PACIFIC PRIDE
I3230 North West Lane, Stockton, California
I1 0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
I At the request of Mr David Atwater of Van De Pol Enterprises,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
(AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for 3230 North West Lane (the site), Stockton, California
The report documents procedures and results for subsurface investigation conducted at the site
during September 2000 (third quarter) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and
monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2
' The objective of the third quarter investigation was to characterize, assess and monitor
concentrations of adsorbed and dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons in soil and ground water and to
characterize ground water flow direction and gradient at the site This report was prepared in
' accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Regional Water Quality Control Board -
Central Valley Region (RWQCB-CVR) for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites
I A summary of previous investigations conducted at the site was included in Preliminary
Investigation and Evaluation Report, dated 11 November 1999, prepared by AGE
3.0. QUARTERLY GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING
' On 28 September 2000, ground water monitoring and sampling were performed on wells MW-1,
MW-2 and MW-3, ground water elevation, flow direction and gradient were determined from the
field data
I
I3 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
Depths to ground water were measured in wells MW-1, MW-2 and MW-3 from the tops of the well
' casings to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solmst water level meter Ground water elevations in each
well at the site were calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed
well casing elevations (Table 1) Ground water elevations were plotted and contoured on a scaled
' site map (Figure 3)
After water levels were measured, approximately 3 gallons of ground water (a minimum of three
' casing-water volumes per well) were removed from well MW-1 utilizing a disposable teflon bailer
Approximately 1 gallon of ground water was removed from wells MW-2 and MW-3 before being
bailed "dry" Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization from each well
' using a Hydac water analyzer Field data and logs are included with Appendix A Purged ground
Advanced Geo Environ mental,Inc
I
