W 1386 EAST BEAMER STREET <br /> VVEGE ESTERN WOODLAND, CA 95776-6003 <br /> GE4-ENGINEERS FAX (916) 662-0273 <br /> (916) 668-5300 <br /> CALIF CONTRACTOR#513857 A CORPORATION <br /> REGISTERED GEOLOGISTS <br /> Mr. Larry Williams November 11, 1993 <br /> Senior Environmental Control Officer <br /> City of Stockton <br /> Dept . of Municipal Utilities <br /> 2500 Navy Drive <br /> Stockton, CA. 95206 <br /> (209) 944-8722 <br /> RE: Wastewater Discharge Permit UPDATE #9 for Wickland <br /> Properties site located at 6425 Pacific Avenue, Stockton, <br /> California. <br /> Dear Mr. Williams: <br /> The following letter is the Monthly Status Report concerning the <br /> above wastewater discharge permit . <br /> SPILL PREVENTION PLAN <br /> As required by the Wastewater Discharge Permit for this site, a <br /> spill prevention plan has been prepared. <br /> The waste stream is treated ground water produced from interim <br /> purging (twice weekly) of monitor wells MW1, MW2 , MW3 , MW8 and <br /> MW10 . <br /> Lawrence Tank Testings (LTT) vacuum pump service has, for the <br /> time being, stopped (August, 1993) purging the above mentioned <br /> wells to depletion A vacuum pump pulls the water from the wells <br /> through dedicated one inch Sch 40 PVC pipe into a 100 gallon <br /> stainless steel tank This water is then transferred to the <br /> "ConVault" for treatment by "tank aeration" with the vapor <br /> destruction accomplished using the incinerator The incinerator <br /> is concurrently also destroying vapor being pulled from the soil . <br /> We are still placing the condensate water produced from the vapor <br /> extraction system into the "ConVault" vacuum stripping treatment . <br /> If evaluations indicate that a continuous ground water pumping <br /> ..a-.-m is needed, col Pr+�Pr� c.rAl l c wi l l hP t`nnnPr-tPCl fir? the <br /> "ConVault" treatment system. <br /> Ground water recovery lines, from the wells to the treatment <br /> compound, will be 3/8" nylon tubing inside buried 3 " PVC pipe as <br /> double containment . <br /> The ground water recovery lines will be plumbed to an above <br /> ground polyethylene sediment trap. From the sediment trap the <br /> contaminated ground water is pumped through a centrifugal pump <br /> and sprayed into a "ConVault" 1000 gallon above ground tank for <br /> spray aeration. The "ConVault" tank is a double contained steel <br /> tank shrouded in concrete . The treatment of the ground water <br />
