March 3, 1989 Installation of additional seven groundwater monitoring wells, <br /> delineation of groundwater plume (MW4, MW5, MW6, MW7, MW8, <br /> MW9, and MW 10). <br /> October 10, 1989 Installed pumps into MW 1 and MW3 for free product removal, <br /> recovered 40 gallons of gasoline and reduced thickness of product in <br /> wells from 1.26 feet at MWI and 1.66 feet at MW3 to a sheen. <br /> July 31, 1990 Submit Remedial Action Plan to San Joaquin County Health. <br /> January 15, 1991 Vapor extraction source test. <br /> January 23, 1991 Public comment period for Remedial Action Plan ends. <br /> October 10, 1991 Start-up of vapor extraction system. <br /> June 2, 1992 Sewer discharge permit approved for 1,200 gallons per day. <br /> September 28, 1992 Completion of two downgradient wells (MWI 1, and MW12). <br /> December 1, 1992 Interim groundwater removal, purging selected wells {MWI, MW2, <br /> MW3, MW8 and MW 10) twice a week until approval to install <br /> continuous pumping system is achieved. <br /> August 30, 1993 Discontinue purging of selected wells after Lincoln Center voiced <br /> concerns that this activity could spread their PCE, TCE, DCE still <br /> undefined plume(s). <br /> December 22, 1993 Vapor extraction system was turned off, due to concern of San Joaquin <br /> County field inspector the VES maybe influencing Lincoln Village <br /> solvent plume. <br /> December 30, 1993 Letter from San Joaquin County clarifying that the communications <br /> between the field inspector for the county and WEGE technician was <br /> misconstrued and at our earliest convenience, re-start the VES. And in <br /> fact, the previous periodic groundwater extraction was controlling the <br /> migration of the plume and the VES was decreasing the amount of <br /> hydrocarbons available to leach into groundwater. <br /> October 26, 1994 Bio-venting source test on MW-8 for weekly two hour venting of well. <br /> March 6, 1996 Approval to modify VES, remove the thermal oxidizing unit and <br /> replace abatement control with vapor phase activated carbon.units. <br /> June 5, 1997 Confirmation soil borings SB4, SB5, S136 and SB7. Installation of <br /> vapor extraction air sparging well MW13. <br /> 3 R603 Update#52/CLOSURE RV 7198 <br />
