SAMPLE RESULTS <br /> The enclosed table contains the soil sample results documentation sampling of the excavated soil <br /> produced from product dispensing system removal/station remodeling All analytes tested for from <br /> samples SP (5-7), SP (8-11) and SP 12 were below laboratory lower detection Each sample was <br /> collected in a 11/2-inch by 6-inch clean stainless steel sleeve Immediately after obtaining the soil <br /> sample, it was field screened with a PID (photo-iomzing detector) containing a 10 6 ev bulb, for the <br /> presence of volatile organic compounds, gasoline ranges The sample sleeve was then sealed with <br /> teflon sheets and plastic end caps to prevent the loss of VOC's (volatile organic compounds) The <br /> steel sleeve was then labeled with site ID, sample ID, date and time sampled, name of sampler, and <br /> laboratory analysis needed Once labeled, the sample was placed into a ziplock baggy, sealed and <br /> placed into an ice chest containing ice to keep the sample cool until delivery to the analytical <br /> laboratory <br /> A Chain of Custody (CofC) was completed documenting the site ID, sample ID's, date and time <br /> samples were obtained the laboratory analysis needed, and the name of the sampler The CofC <br /> follows the samples and documents the whom and when of possession transfer of the samples, from <br /> collection through final analysts by California Certified Laboratory, North State Environmental <br /> ELAP Certificate No 1753, see Appendix A <br /> SAMPLE ANALYSIS <br />• <br /> The three UST's contained unleaded gasoline San Joaquin County Health and the State of <br /> California require that the soil samples be analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPHg), Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes and the fuel oxygenants (Ethanol, MTBE, <br /> TBA, DIPS, ETBE and TAME) using EPA methods 8260B <br /> SOIL DISPOSITION <br /> It is Western Geo-Engineers understanding that Wickland Property was responsible for the <br /> disposition of contaminated soils only Soils that were found to be below laboratory lower <br /> detection limits for gasoline range hydrocarbons are not the responsibility of Wickland Properties <br /> Over-excavation soil pile sample results SP (1-4) showed this soil to contain gasoline range <br /> hydrocarbons This soil (60 yards) was profiled to and disposed of at Forward Landfill, 9999 South <br /> Austin Road, Manteca, California as non-hazardous waste SP12 (10 yards) although below <br /> laboratory lower detection limits contained petroleum odors as described by W A Craig personnel <br /> will also be disposed of at Forward Landfill, under the same profile agreement <br /> Excavated soil piles SP (5-7) and SP (8-11) contained no petroleum odors and tested below <br /> laboratory lower detection limits are not the responsibility of Wickland Properties Disposition of <br />. this soil is at the discretion of the Prestige Oil and/or Lincoln Village Properties <br /> 2 R-603 exsosil samples 7-2000 <br />
