Williams :
The following letter is our Spill Prevention Plan and Monthly
Status Report concerning the above wastewater discharge permit .
i
SPILL PREVENTION PLAN
As required by the wastewater Discharge permit for this site a
spill prevention plan has been prepared.
The waste stream will be treated ground water that will have been
• pumped from monitor wells that cantain dissolved gasoline range
hydrocarbons . Treatment will be tank aeration with vapor
destruction by a incinerator . The incinerator is presently
destroying vapor being pulled from the soil .
Ground water recovery lines , from the wells to the treatment
compound , are 3/8" nylon tubing inside buried 3" PVC pipe as
double containment. _
Once the recovery lines reach the compound they will be plumbed to
an above ground polyethylene sediment trap. From the sediment
trap tie contaminated ground water is pumped through a centrifugal
fpump and sprayed into a "ConVault" 1000 gallon above ground tank
for spray aeration. The "ConVault" tank is a double contained
steel tank shrouded in concrete . The treatment of the ground
water will occur in batches ( 300 gallons per five hours ) . After
treatment the treated water is then dumped from the treatment
tank, via the centrifugal pump through a totalizer water meter and
then passed through a chamber containing an LEL meter relay
F calibrated to shut down the system in 7apors from the effluent:. .
ever reach the 10% LEL level , prior discharge to the 3" sewer
clean out. Montly visual inspections for leaks on above ground
lines , tanks and double contained system will occur .
I
i
E
 1
