1386 EAST BEAN ER STREET
WEGEOvESTER N WOODLAND, CA 95776-6003
GE4 ENGINEERS FAX (916) 662-0273
CALIF CONTRACTOR#513857 A CORPORATION (9 1 6) 668-5300
REGISTERED GEOLOGISTS
Mr Larry Williams October 5, 1993
Senior Environmental Control Officer
City of Stockton
Dept. of Municipal Utilities
2500 Navy Drive
Stockton, CA. 95206
(209) 944--8722
RE* Wastewater Discharge Permit UPDATE #8 for Wickland
Properties site located at 6425 Pacific Avenue, Stockton,
California.
Dear Mr. Williams -
The following letter is the Monthly Status Report concerning the
above wastewater discharge permit
SPILL PREVENTION PLAN
As required by the Wastewater Discharge Permit for this site, a
spill prevention plan has been prepared
The waste stream is treated ground water produced from interim
purging (twice weekly) of monitor wells MW1, MW2 , MW3 , MW8 and
MW10
Lawrence Tank Testings (LTT) vacuum pump service is purging the
above mentioned wells to depletion A vacuum pump pulls the
water from the wells through dedicated one inch Sch 40 PVC pipe
into a 100 gallon stainless steel tank. This water is then
transferred to the "ConVault" for treatment by "tank aeration"
with the vapor destruction accomplished using the incinerator
The incinerator is concurrently destroying vapor being pulled
from the soil .
if evaluations indicate that a continuous ground water pumping
system is needed, selected wells will be connected to the
"ConVault" treatment system
Ground water recovery lines, from the wells to the treatment
compound, will be 3/8 " nylon tubing inside buried 3 " PVC pipe as
double containment .
The ground water recovery lines will be plumbed to an above
ground polyethylene sediment trap. From the sediment trap the
contaminated ground water is pumped through a centrifugal pump
and sprayed into a "ConVault" 1000 gallon above ground tank for
spray aeration The "ConVault" tank is a double contained steel
tank shrouded in concrete . The treatment of the ground water
will occur in batches (300 gallons per five hours) After
treatment the water is then dumped from the treatment tank, via
