HFAETH <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Mr Mark Schonhoff November 14 , 1994 <br /> San Joaquin Valley <br /> Unified Air Pollution Control District <br /> 4230 Kiernan Avenue, Suite 130 <br /> Modesto, CA 95356 <br /> (209) 545-7000 <br /> RE Request to perform weekly bio-venting on ground water <br /> monitoring well MW-8, associated with Permit to Operate N-1090-2- <br /> 0-1-0 , for Wickland Property' s R-603 site located at 6425 Pacific <br /> Avenue, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Schonhoff, <br /> As to our phone conversations on November 10 , 1994 , we are <br /> requesting to perform a two hour, once a week bio-venting from <br /> ground water monitoring well MW-8 , which is located east across <br /> Pacific Avenue from the above mentioned site, see Figure 3 <br /> As verbally approved by Mr Rack Smith (San Joaquin Valley <br /> Unified Air Pollution Control District) September 12 , 1994 , we <br /> performed source tests on this well on September 14 and October <br /> 26, 1994 , see Appendix A for field notes These two tests lasted <br /> two hours each Lawrence Tank Testing' s (LTT) , vacuum truck was <br /> used to evacuate and sustain a vacuum on the well Tedlar bag <br /> samples obtained during the test , and analyzed in WEGE' s portable <br /> laboratory, indicated TFH values of 70 ug/L (17 5 ppmv) on <br /> September 14 , 1994 and 80 to 90 uq/L (20 0 - 22 5 ppmv) on the <br /> two samples obtained on October 26 , 1994 BTEX' s were below <br /> detection limits for the WEGE lab of 1 ug/L (0 25 ppmv) The 90 <br /> ug/L sample was also chain of custody delivered to MATRIX <br /> Environmental Laboratories (D14S#1676) The results from MATRIX <br /> indicated a TFH value of 500 ug/L (125 ppmv) and BTEX of 0 74 <br /> U y/ L, V U L+ u / L, G V J LL 4/L a l l d Z 114/1..3 1 e s p e c t i vel y <br /> Flow rates varied between twenty cubic feet per minute (cfm) to <br /> thirty cfm The samples were obtained at a flow rate of 26 5 <br /> cfm, which is the rate used to calculate the pounds per day that <br /> would be released during a two hour venting <br /> MW8 contains significant dissolved gasoline range hydrocarbons in <br /> the ground water This well is near the leading edge of the <br /> 1 <br />
