C A M B R I A
Mr. Steven Shih
June 20, 2005
The sample collected between the western dispenser and the USTs (P-6-10) did not contain
detectable TPHg, BTEX, or MTBE, indicating that over -excavation was effective in removing the
MTBE in that area.
CONCLUSIONS
All of Shell's fuel storage and dispensing equipment has been removed from the site. The site is
an active environmental case with SJCEHD and currently has four groundwater monitoring wells
on site. SJCEHD has approved the installation of additional groundwater monitoring wells on
site. The most significant remaining area of petroleum hydrocarbon impact is in the vicinity of
the eastern dispenser area. Cambria recommends advancing soil borings to assess the extent of
petroleum hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates in the vicinity of the dispensers. Cambria will
submit a detailed work plan under separate cover.
R
