Please read my comments:
1) The new site map, emergency response plan, and changes to the inventory have not been uploaded to CERS.
Make sure you have the correct CERS ID number and make these submittals for me to approve. CERS ID:
10614253
2) Provide 3 years of training records for training hazardous materials and emergency response/spill response for
all employees that handle hazardous materials.
3) Submit a statement stating what arrangements were made to have the business plan readily available for review
on site.
4) Submit the return to compliance (RTC) certification and select method for corrections to violations (see attached
document)
5) Provide statement or photos for the clean-up of diesel spill in the secondary containment.
Another note, facilities are not permitted to transport hazardous waste from one facility to another facility unless it is
taken to a designated hazardous waste facility(like the Household Hazardous Waste facility or an ag oil recycling
program like Kludt Oil).
However, since Crane Lake is not a staffed facility, it may be considered a remote facility and exempt from this rule. (See
the attached regulations). If you would like to used Little John Ranch as the facility for consolidation of hazardous waste
for any of your remote facilities like Crane Lake, please update the CERS account for Little John to select"yes"to the
question, "Does your facility consolidate hazardous waste generated at a remote site?" in the Business Activities. (Little
John CERS ID: 10404775). Otherwise, ensure all hazardous waste is either transferred to an approved designated
hazardous waste facility or apply for a temporary EPA ID number and have a licensed hauler pick up any hazardous
waste generated.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at(209)468-3562.
Thank you,
Christine Lawrence, EHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E Hazelton Ave, Stockton, CA 95205
(209)468-3562
clawrence@siQov.orQ
SAN NOUN
L OUNTY—
rr Greatness $taws hrre.
FREE classes presented by NES Inc. are available to all San Joaquin County Hazardous Waste, Underground Storage Tank,
and Aboveground Petroleum Storage Facility Business Owners and Operators in San Joaquin County.
2
