Box 414 <br /> Tracy, CA 95378 <br /> RE: Bill's Bait and Beacon Gas <br /> 515 W. lith Street <br /> Tracy, CA 95356 <br /> This office has reviewed the March 15, 1990, Soil and Groundwater <br /> Interim Remediation and Groundwater Monitoring Work Plan prepared <br /> for the above site by Geological Technics, Inc. The proposed Work <br /> Plan includes excavation backfill, new underground tank <br /> installation, installation of one additional groundwater monitoring <br /> well, installation of an interim groundwater remediation system, <br /> and initiation of a long-term groundwater monitoring system. <br /> There are several items in this report that need to be addressed. <br /> 1. A chain of custody for the soil and water samples taken <br /> in January, 1990, is to be provided. <br /> 2. Sample results for benzene, toluene, xylene, ethyl <br /> benzene and gasoline for monitoring well 02 are to be <br /> provided. <br /> 3. A plot plan identifying the location of the composite <br /> sampling points on the stockpiled soils is to be <br /> provided. <br /> 4. Soil from the proposed monitoring well is to be contained <br /> on the property at 515 W. 11th St. , Tracy. <br /> 5. Uncontaminated water from the development of the new <br /> monitoring well is to be properly disposed of, not <br /> released to the surface. <br /> 6. Detection limits suggested in Table 2, in the Tri- <br /> Regional Board Staff Recommendations should be used in <br /> the future. <br /> 00 <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
