ELEVENTH STREET; TRACY
- - At our meetiM of July 2"88 usM ref t fly -- - --- - -
inveiitory reconciliation must be performed on the tanks storing
fuel at the above referenced facility. In addition, quarterly
statements must be submitted to the SJLHD certifying that
allowable variations have not been exceeded. The San Joaquin
Local Health District shall receive the first quarterly report
from this facility by October 15th for the full months of
August and September, 1988.
Our department contacted the State Water Resources Control
Board and spoke to Ms. Terry Brazell concerning allowable
repairs to a failed tank on a known contaminated site. It is
understood that if repairs to the tank can be made, the owner
of this property may elect to repair the tank and place the
tank back into operation. Additionally, Ms. Brazell stated
that the owner of this property may elect to replace the failed
tank with a new dual-contained tank. In either case, the owner
of this property accepts full responsibility for remediation of
the existing soil/groundwater contamination and must be
cognizant that remediation may involve excavation of soils and
any new or exiting tank systems, in order to facilitate
assessment and clean up activities.
If the owner or owners of this property choose to place this
facility into operation, application and plan for repair of the
failed diesel tank or application and plans for replacement of
the failed diesel tank must be made to the SJLHD. All plans
and applications submitted to this department shall be
reviewed prior to starting operation so that all requirements
of the California Underground Tank Law are met.
Administration Ctinioal Services Environmental Health Public Health Nursing
488-3400 488-3830 468-3420 468-3860
Air Pollution Community Services Laboratory WIC
468-3470 468-3820 468-3460 468-3280
AIDS Information 468-3820
