In a response letter to this Work Plan,
this office requested a chain of custody for soil and water samples
taken January, 1990, sample results for benzene, toluene, xylene,
and ethyibenzene from monitoring well {2, and a plot plan
identifying the location of the composite sampling points on the
stockpiled soils. This office has not received this information
to date.
The proposed work, stated above, has not been completed. A site
inspection on May 8, 1990, revealed the excavation at this site had
been partially backfilled. We were not informed in advance of this
backfilling activity, so we were not present for observation and
have not received a report describing the work that was done at
the site. We have not received a permit application for
installation of the off-site monitoring well or been informed of
the status of this proposed well. Interim groundwater remediation
has not been initiated nor are we aware of any field tests
performed on existing monitoring wells to investigate the
feasibility of this action. The above information is to be
incorporated into a Problem Assessment Report.
We have reviewed the results of the water samples taken from
monitoring wells 01, 12, and ¢3 at the above site. In the future,
water sample results are to be submitted in a quarterly status
report.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Core Services
