In response to that request, I have prepared the following
status report summarizing work on your site since January 1990. The analytical data
generated for this site is summarized in Figure 1 while the data sheets are given in ,t
Appendix A.
Ex ava on and Dewatering ;i
In January 1990, Geological Technics Inc. and SEMCO started work on implementing
the Remedial Action Plan (RAP). The tank excavation pit was deepened and
enlarged and approximately 352 cubic yards of soil was removed. This material was
stockpiled on site in the northwest corner of the property. To accomplish removal t.
of contaminated soil below the water table, the excavation was dewatered and soil
was removed down to 14 feet. There is some contaminated soil remaining north of k
the excavation and it appears that a small amount remains to the northwest and
northeast. ,
During dewatering, contaminated water was container in a swing tank. It has been
tested several times and has been found to be clean of petroleum hydrocarbons
(December 1990). The City of Tracy so far has not given permission to dispose of the
water into the sanitary sewer system. However, we should again request permission
to release the water to the City because they initially told us that the water could be',
released to them if it did not contain petroleum hydrocarbons (see reference letter n'
Appendix B),
y
W
r
,7x
_fin _ ..... ...-.
