The auxiliary unit for line monitoring has the ability to provide
a total pump shut down should line pressure indicate a problem in
the product lines.
We propose to utilize and install the system as follows:
1. Install four individual probes in the backfill area
surrounding the underground gasoline storage tanks. These
probes would be programmed to detect levels as required by agency
guidelines.
2. All probe wells will conform to State guidelines, plan
attached.
3. Soil or vapor analysis will be conducted at well
installation.
4. Three line pressure probes to be installed for total shutdown
protection (one probe per product line) .
5. Proposed approximate well locations are shown on location
site map. System consists of four groundwell probes and three
line pressure sensors.
In addition, all underground storage tanks will be individually
monitored on a daily basis utilizing an inventory reconciliation
system that takes into account measurements for product and any
water layer, and meter readings for tank input and withdrawals.
The inventory reconciliation is incorporated into the daily
record keeping and open to inspection at the location.
Interval Tank Testing
Storage tanks and associated product piping will be tested
as required. The testing shall utilize a system capable of
detecting a release in conformance with N.F.P.A. criteria #329.
The tests shall be performed by personnel who have received
training in the test procedures and are certified. The result
shall be presented in written form to the agency within thirty
days of completion.
Pipeline Leak Detectors
Product piping monitored by continuous pressure sensors for total
shutdown capability.
Waste Oil Tank Monitoring
The existing waste oil tank will be removed.
