Box 2009
Stockton, CA 95201
Attn.: Diane Hinson
Re: SS# 787
950 West 11th Street
Tracy, CA 95376
Dear Ms. Hinson:
In reference to the above subject location, Desert Petroleum,
Inc. agrees to submit for approval a site assessment plan to
investigate possible contamination of soil and groundwater.
Upon approval of this assessment plan, we will implement said
plan in the shortest time possible. It is further understood
that Desert will comply with any lawful direction from the local
regulatory agency as well as any other authorized agency, i.e.,
State Water Control Board, to address necessary remediation of
contamination if found.
Desert Petroleum requests permission to continue with the
immediate installation of approved new piping and tanks at
this location. This construction is in compliance with State
regulations for new installations.
The completion of the construction is important both in terms
of safety at the location as well as our concern to return our
business to a normal operating status.
The initial samples taken at the time of the storage tank
removal do not indicate that contamination levels are high P A Y M E N T
The continuation of the work project will not impede the sOMC EIV E D
assessment or any future remediation work if necessary.
At'r2 2 1988
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
POST OFFICE BOX 1601, OXNARD, CALIFORNIA 93032 • TELEPHONE(M)6446784
