ADDENDUM H TO WORK PLAN DATED 10-3-88,B.C-aD.PROPERTIES <br /> 1129 WEST ELEVENTH STREET,TRACY,CALIFORNIA <br /> Dear Mr. Burick. <br /> In response to the letter from Ms. Laurie Cotulla of San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services Environmental Health Division dated March 6, 1992, 1 have <br /> prepared the following Addendum 11 to the Work Plan dated October 3, 1988. The <br /> first addendum was submitted on October 18, 1989. <br /> Geological Technics Inc. prepared the original Work Plan and submitted it to San <br /> Joaquin Environmental Health on October 3, 1988. Geological Technics Inc. proposes <br /> to follow the original work plan with the addition of the following modifications: 1) <br /> to install one monitoring well in the site's historical down gradient direction <br /> (southwest) at a location suitable for drilling within the property's boundary (Figure <br /> 1) and 2) to modify the well construction to include the current approved methods. <br /> MODTICATIONS TO THE WORK PLAN <br /> Well Construction <br /> Geological Technics Inc. proposes to install one monitoring well (MW-4) in a down <br /> gradient direction from existing MW-2 (Figure 2). The well will be drilled using a <br /> 10.25 outside diameter (6.5" I.D.) continuous flight hollow stem auger. Soil cuttings <br /> will be distributed in the open field behind the structure. Continuous soil coring <br /> will be performed and soil samples will be collected for geological and analytical <br /> evaluation. Soil samples will be collected in 2.0 inch brass liners using a 2.0 inch <br /> modified California split spoon sampler. All soil samples will be sealed with <br /> aluminum foil, capped, labeled and placed in a cooler at 4° Celsius for transport to <br /> the laboratory following Chain of Custody protocol. <br /> MWIf will be constructed with 2.0 inch diameter, schedule 40 PVC casing with flush <br /> threaaed joints. The screened interval will consist of 0.020 inch perforations <br /> extending from approximately ten feet below and five feet above the water table. A <br /> number three sand will be used to form a filter pack about the perforations. An <br /> annular seal will be constructed by installing 100 pounds of granular bentonite that <br />
