Page 2 B operties Project No.: 8.2 August 20, 1997 Proposed Bidding of Project To remain in compliance with the USTCFP,GTI has put out to bid the well abandonment work to be performed. Because the unit costs for Geological Technics Inc. have been reduced from the earlier bid, we believe it reasonable that our project planning, field logging, supervision and reporting work need not be re-bid. These costs have been included in our budget spread sheet prepared giving estimated costs for performing the work approved by SJCEHD. The budget spread sheet is attached and shows itemized cost for the tasks proposed. In an attempt to make this Pre-Approval flow smoothly, we have used the same unit costs for this work that has previously been approved by the USTCFP for other projects. Geological Technics Inc. accepts field support services and lab invoices and adds a 15% overhead fee. We then pay these charges and assist our client complete the USTCFP reimbwsement claim. Construction convartors will invoice our clients direct since GTI is not a _ Ticense contractor. Tentative Schedule for Implementing Work Task Description Schedule • Prepare Work Plan for Site Closure July 11, 1997 • Receive Approval for WP from SCDER July 16, 1997 • Prepare USTCFP Cost Pre-Approval Aug 20, 1997 • Receive Approval from USTCFP-anticipated Sept 10, 1997 • Abandon Wells - anticipated Sept 23, 1997 • Prepare Final Report- anticipated Sept 30, 1997 Thank you for your attention to this project.
