The excavated soil would then either
a. be transported for disposal to an approved Class it or III landfill, or be spread on
an impermeable surface for aboveground onsite aeration treatment.
Groundwater will be extracted from the excavation and properly disposed. Two
quarters of groundwater sampling will be performed to verify the effectiveness of
the remedial work.
Disposal options for the extracted groundwater are discharge to storm or sanitary
sewer or transport to a disposal facility. Please be advised that discharge to the
sewer requires permission from the City of Tracy and that discharge to the stomp
drain requires obtaining a NPDES permit from the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board. If the water is taken to a disposal facility, receipts must
be provided to PHS/EHD.
If the contaminated soil is taken to a landfill, reosipts must be provided to
PHS/EHD. If the soil is aerated on site permission from the Central Valley
Unified Air pollution Control District must be obtained.
PHS/EHD will conduct public notification Informing local residents of the
proposed activities contained in the CAP. A 30 day period is given to allow for
V
`y A Division of San]O&quin County Hed&Cue Services
rr
