To date, we have not received a response from the property owners.
SUMMARY
In 1976, Southern Pacific Railroad personnel detected free product in the railroad right-of-way
north of the Site. The release was stopped and in December 1993 the Site was permanently
closed. In 1994, Site structures were removed, including two 19,500-gallon AGTs, two
20,000-gallon AGTs, and associated piping.
Between 1989 and 2010, ConocoPhillips drilled 16 soil borings, sampled 13 test pits,. installed
10 groundwater monitoring wells, sampled seven soil vapor samples, and excavated
contaminated soil. Remaining soil concentrations are below the ESLs for gross
contamination. Site groundwater monitoring well concentrations were below WQOs when they
were destroyed in 2009. Remaining soil vapor samples are below the residential and
commercial ESI-s. Petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in the onsite domestic well are
below laboratory detection limits. Central Valley Water Board staff concur that no further
action is needed at this Site.
