The highest
hydrocarbon concentrations in the soils were found in the northwestern portion of the
site. These concentrations attenuate with depth and are low to none-detectable below
15 feet. The extent of petroleum hydrocarbons is currently not defined in soils or
groundwater to the west of the site. The lateral extent of hydrocarbons in both soil and
- groundwater has been defined to the east of the site. The downgradient extent of
hydrocarbons in groundwater has not been defined to the north.
To further define the extent of petroleum hydrocarbons in the soils and groundwater in
j the vicinity of the site, PACIFIC recommends the installation of two additional
groundwater monitoring wells off-site in the locations indicated in Figure 7. The well
located west of the site is proposed to establish cross-gradient hydrocarbon delineation.
.; The well north of the site will provide information on the downgradient extent of
hydrocarbons in soil and,groundwater.
j
f
!.M
j
3100101-REPORT'- 6 September 30, 1'r)1
u .
I, 1
- t
