HAZELTON AVENUE +, STOCKTON CALIFORNIA 95205 D, TE 209-468-3198 <br /> �D <br /> 200 <br /> EXECUTIVE OFFICER'S REPORT PEAIyIj��S r fHE�CTN <br /> SES <br /> PROJECT: AIRPORT YOSEMITE ISLANDS REORGANIZATION (LAFC 10-05) <br /> PROPOSAL: To annex 89 acres to the City of Manteca with concurrent <br /> detachments from the Lathrop-Manteca Fire .District and the San <br /> Joaquin County Resource Conservation District <br /> APPLICANT: The City of Manteca (City Council Resolution No. R2005-175) <br /> LOCATION: At the intersection of Yosemite Avenue and Airport Way and west of <br /> Fishback Road, southwest Manteca (Refer to Exhibit A: Vicinity Map) <br /> PURPOSE: To annex two unincorporated islands consisting of 59 acres and 30 <br /> acres into the City of Manteca (Refer to Exhibit B: Justification of <br /> Proposal) <br /> PROCESS: Special provisions of Government Code Section 56375.3 pertaining to <br /> island annexations <br /> PROPOSAL <br /> The annexation area is surrounded by the City of Manteca and consists of two sub-areas <br /> bisected by Yosemite Avenue (Refer to Exhibit C: Annexation Map) The sub-area north of <br /> Yosemite Avenue consists of 59 acres and has been pre-zoned by the City as C-G (General <br /> Commercial), C-C (Community Commercial), and M-1 (Light Industrial). The sub-area south of <br /> Yosemite Avenue consists of 30 acres and has been pre-zoned by the City as C-G, C-C, M-1 <br /> and R-E (Residential Estates). (Refer to Exhibit D:' Pre-Zone.Map) <br /> Land uses in the annexation area consist of older rural single-family dwellings,.with a few multi- <br /> family units and older commercial and light industrial uses along Yosemite Avenue. Rural <br /> residential parcels exist along Wawona Street and Fishback Road in the southeastern portion of <br /> the annexation area. (Refer to Exhibit C) <br /> The annexation is being _proposed under the special provisions of Section 56375.3 of the <br /> Government Code (Island Annexations). Under these provisions, if the annexation proposal is <br /> initiated by the City and all criteria are met, the LAFCo Commission must approve the <br /> annexation and is required to waive the protest provisions. <br /> The annexing area would remain within the boundaries of the South San Joaquin Irrigation <br /> District from which storm drainage services are provided, and the County-wide County Service <br /> Area No. 53 for household hazardous waste management. <br /> LAFC 10-05 06-17-05 Page 1 of 62 <br /> I, <br /> pk <br /> 1 <br />
