1
12430 E.ATKINSON ROAD Project No.2017-00002 Page 110
system. The soils within the percolation test area for 12401 E.Atkinson demonstrated satisfactory '
rates for shallow and deep percolation tests (P-1 and P-2).The soils within the percolation test area
for 12430 E. Atkinson demonstrated a satisfactory percolation rate in accordance with the
requirements of the EHD for the deep percolation test(P-3).
7.0 CONCLUSIONS '
In summary, percolation rates that meetthe minimum EHD standards were achieved in the proposed '
septic disposal areas of each of the proposed parcels located at 12401 E.Atkinson Road and 12430
E.Atkinson road; these parcels appear suitable for the use of a standard septic system. Percolation
rates do not meet the minimum EHD standards for 12420 E. Atkinson Road, and will require an '
alternate septic system design prior to additional home construction on this parcel. As an alternative,
additional drilling for other potential areas of suitable soils for standard septic systems within the
parcel could be performed in lieu of providing an engineered system, providing that such soils pass '
additional EHD approved percolation testing.
No ground water was encountered in any of the borings drilled on the property. The on-site water
wells were tested for nitrate and DBCP. Nitrate as nitrogen results for all three (3) domestic wells
are below the MCL of 10 mg/L set by the United States EPA and CA State. DBCP was not detected in
any of the three (3) domestic wells tested.
8.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are established from the information provided regarding the proposed
and existing development, the use of each parcel, and the site conditions as they existed at the time
we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed that the test holes
and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area.
If there is a substantial amount of time between the submission of this study and commencement of '
work at the site, or if conditions have changed due to construction activities or natural causes at or
adjacent to the site, we recommend that our report be reviewed to access the applicability of the
recommendations and conclusions with consideration regarding changed conditions and or lapse of '
time. This report should not be used after 3 years without a review and update from our office.
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed in
accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices.
