g. UNIFORM BUILDING CODE: The following Uniform Building Code and San <br /> Joaquin County Ordinance requirements will be applicable and shall be <br /> incorporated in the construction plans before submittal to the Building Inspection <br /> Division: <br /> 1) The proposed use will change the occupancy from a U-3 occupancy to a F-1 <br /> occupancy (U.B.C. Section 3405). The structure must be brought into <br /> compliance with all current code provisions including structural, plumbing, <br /> mechanical,electrical,energy and disabled access requirements. <br /> 2) Provide restrooms conforming with all disabled access requirements (C.C.R., <br /> Title 24) <br /> h. UNIFORM FIRE CODE: The following Uniform Fire Code and San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance Code requirements will be applicable and shall be incorporated in the <br /> construction plans before submittal to the Community Development Department for <br /> a building permit. <br /> 1) Fire flow and hydrants will be provided for the proposed project by the use of. <br /> (A) Appendix III-A and III-B of the California Fire Code (public water mains). <br /> (B) NFPA 1231 of the National Fire Code(static water supply). <br /> 2) Fire sprinkler systems shall be installed according to Article 10 of the California <br /> Fire Code and the appropriate standards and guides adopted in Chapter 35 of <br /> the California Building Code and the California Electrical Code. <br /> 3) Fire department access roads shall be in accordance with section 902.2 of the <br /> California Fire Code and the standard adopted by the San Joaquin County Fire <br /> Chiefs Association. <br /> 4) Key Boxes: A Knox box shall be installed according to the local fire <br /> department's instructions. <br /> 5 Fire extinguishers shall be installed in accordance with California Fire Code, <br /> Standard 10-1 of Volume 2. <br /> 6) Fire permits may be required prior to occupancy to conduct operations <br /> hazardous to life or property C.F.C. 105.2.1. <br /> 7) Mechanical refrigeration systems shall comply with all applicable codes <br /> (ammonia,etc.). <br /> JJ:vb. <br /> UP017 <br /> Attachments <br />
