KLEINFELDER
 File No. 20-2983-03
October 26, 1990
5. Nutrient status of surface waters in discharge
areas
6. Future land use
7 . Number of pumping wells in the aquifer and
volume of water pumped
8. Length of flow path to surface discharge area
or downgradient users
In our evaluation we also considered the fact that the existing
groundwater table is approximately 50 feet below the ground
surface. Leach lines are also separated from first groundwater by
a very stratified profile of sand, silt, and clay. In addition,
f as summarized in the referenced soil suitability studies, there
have been no reports of leach field failures or high nitrate
E concentrations in existing wells. Several wells in the study area
are over 20 years old with relatively shallow perforations.
k . This completes the scope of services requested at this time. The
conclusions presented in this report are based on published
information, primarily from CRWQCB, regarding nitrate loading. The
technology to evaluate nitrate loading continues to change which
may alter the validity of the conclusions presented in this report
}.
at some future time. It is also possible that variations in the
soil conditions and laboratory test results used in the analysis
could occur between or beyond the points of exploration or sample
I collection. This report was prepared in accordance with the
1' generally accepted standard of practice which existed in San
Joaquin County at the time the report was written. No warranty,
expressed or implied, is made.
I
Copyright 1990 ICleinfelder, Inc. 8
