(GT) and is providing the following comments.
li
Fuel (Petroleum) Hydrocarbon Constituent (FHC) contaminants have been confirmed at this site
in soil and groundwater as a result of the preliminary site assessment. PHS/EHD concurs with
GT recommendations and is directing you to submit a work plan to further investigate the
extent of contamination at this site by July 15, 1996.
The scope and extent of future assessments at this site should consider health, ecological and
preferential pathway risks with an emphasis on contaminant fate and transport while attempting
to define the extent of soil and groundwater FHC distribution. PHS/EHD will require a
comprehensive well/receptor survey to be performed. This well survey must include sampling l
the on-site domestic well to determine the total depth, depth to water, construction, condition,
current and future use, and contaminant load (FHC's, and FHC supplements) if any. This
information is necessary due the close proximity of the well to the former underground tank
location and confirmed FHC presence in water samples from monitoring well number two (MW-
2) located less than 30 feet North of the existing domestic well.
Should you have any questions please contact Ronald Rowe, Senior REHS, at (209) 468-0342.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
1
Ronald Rowe, Senior REHS Margaret agorio, REHS
Site Mitigation Unit Lead Senior
cc: Geological Techniques Inc. - Tim McDonald
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care.Services
