C3eofagicaf?echnics Inc.
C&B Equipment Page 2
?r
Site Closure Check List

Project No.336.2 .
August 31, 1998
6. Groundwater Gradient Tabulated Data
; i
Attached is a summary data table (Table 3) of all groundwater level measurements and
groundwater gradients.
7. Analytical Tabulated Data
Attached are summary data tables (Table 1 & 2) of soil and groundwater analyses made by
Geological Technics during their investigation. Detection limits are indicated. The County
> has not required lead testing so it has not been tested for by Geological Technics.
S. Contaminant Contours
Attached are copies of the site map and two cross-sections (Figures 3 & 4) showing spatial
relation of site features, geologic units, well construction, and approximate contaminant
concentrations contours. It is our opinion that contaminant distribution is so limited that
contouring each chemical compound is not warranted. So we have presented contours based
on low and moderate contaminant concentrations. These contour maps and cross sections
demonstrate that the contamination has a very limited distribution in both the soil and
groundwater. The data that was gathered during this investigation demonstrates that the
contamination has not migrated off the property.
9. Remedial System
Other then approximately 25 to 30 cubic yards of soil excavated during tank removal and
natural attenuation, no remedial activity has been performed on this site. The soil excavation
was performed under County supervision. Natural attenuation is occurring on its own
without any supervision.
10. Reports/Information
Unauthorized release Form (URF), QMRs, PAR, Well and boring logs, and other
correspondence are on file with the County and CRWQCB and are not included in this
summary report.
11. BAT
Not applicable.
12. Background
Since the tank and the primary soil contamination source has been removed, eventually
background conditions will be achieved.
13. Residual Contamination
A preliminary mass estimate calculations were performed to determine the possible volume
of gasoline present on this site (refer to Table 4 attached). These calculations suggest that
`1
approximately 507 gallons of gasoline are present in the soil and groundwater.
