STEP 2 SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION -When you apply,file all of tthe following: FEE The staff will let you know the current cost of filing an application. Make checks payable to the San Joaquin County Treasurer. • FORM Seven (y)copies of the completed application information forms (attached)winch all owners must sign. • APPLICATION Staff will check your application. If anything Is missing, you will be notified in wri#ing. The COMPLETE applicant will be sent a postcard once the application has been determined complete. (Your aRplication cannot be grocessed untILLt .) STEP 3 APPLICATION PROCESSING CEQA The County will decide if the proposal will have an adverse effect on the environment. If there are no adverse effects, the application will be processed. If there are potential adverse effects, further environmental review will be required. Projects that have the potential to adversely affect the environment will require the preparation of an E.I.R. This may extend the processing time. REFERRALS Staff will refer the applk tion to any County departments, or other agencies affected by your AND ACTION proposal. The Review Authority(Le, Director of the Community Development Department, Planning Commission, or Board of Supervisors)which initially required the conditions(s)will be the one which reconsiders the condition(s)and takes action on your application, If, however,the request is to amend or correct a Final Map,the Planning Commission will review the request The Review Authority will confine the review to consideration of,and action on, the proposed modification. If the Review Authority is the Director of the Community Development Department the Development Services Division will send a notice to you and to surrounding property owners of the Director's intent to approve or deny your application by a specified date. If the review Authority is the Planning Commission or the Board of Supervisors, the Development Services Division will send a notice to you and to surrounding property owners regarding the date and time of the public hearing to consider your application. • FINAL.ACTION The action of the Director of the Community Development Department can be appealed to the Planning Commission. The action of the Planning Commission can be appealed to the Board of Supervisors. For further information on the length of the appeal period and the requirements and procedures for filing an appeal, contact the staff STEP 4 CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL PERMITS The Development Services OMsion will notify you of the action taken on the proposed modification.
