The Board of Trustees of Reclamation District No. 684 has no objection to the
proposed excavation provided that the following conditions (which are based on the District
Ci Engineer's recommendations) are added to the permit:
1)No excavation shall take place within four hundred (400) feet of the existing landside
levee toe. (Please note that the cross section in the notice incorrectly shows 200 feet when the
plan view shows 400 feet. Applicant has explained that 400 feet is intended.)
2) Excavation shall not result in an average excavation depth in excess of three (3) feet.
The maximum excavation depth of 5.75 feet shall be limited to removal of sand lenses where the
area will be immediately backfilled with soil which is less sandy and more suitable for farming;
and
3) That Applicant shall immediately notify Reclamation District No. 684 of any seepage
or other water flow into the excavated area and in such case shall cease further excavation until
the area is inspected by the Reclamation District No. 684 Engineer and written authorization to
proceed is received from Reclamation District No. 684.
i
