Bowman Rd. (APN: 193-260-22). As the subject project site is located within the current Sphere of Influence of the City of Lathrop we wish to provide comments on this referral. The City of Lathrop Community Development Department does not supnort the requested lot size Variance to create two non-conforming Iots of 28.22 acres and 20.94 acres, as these two lots would then be substantially below the 40-acre minimum requirement. The subject Variance request does not pass the test of State law, Section 65906, as it would constitute the granting of a special privilege inconsistent with the limitations upon other properties in the vicinity and zone in which the subject property is situated. The granting of this variance may also diminish the future viability of urban development that is anticipated upon future annexation of this area into the City of Lathrop. The City of Lathrop appreciates the opportunity to comment on the subject project. Please continue to provide the City of Lathrop with all project information and notices of the dates and times of any future actions regarding this matter.
