DBCP and EDB were
below laboratory reporting detection limits for groundwater sample W2. A copy of the chain of
custody and lab report is included in Appendix D.
1.4.5 Groundwater Sample Handling
On March 30, 2017 two groundwater samples were collected into clean glass jars, sealed,
labeled, and immediately placed on ice for same day transportation to McCampbell Analytical Inc. .
Pittsburg, California.
1.5 Soil Profile and Geologic Information
According the United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service
Web Soil Survey, the site consists of San Joaquin loam, thick surface soils with 0 to 2 percent
slopes. Parent material is alluvium derived from granitic rock sources. Typical soil profiles consist
of 0 to 12 inches loam, 12 to 26 inches sandy clay loam, 26 to 36 inches clay,a nd 35 to 60 inches
indurated soils.
The site is depicted on the Geologic Map of California 2010, as within generalized quaternary
Pleistocene and Holocene deposits which are comprised primarily of alluvium, lake, playa, and
terrace deposits; unconsolidated and semi-consolidated. Mostly nonmarine, but includes marine
deposits near the coast.
1.5.1 Soil Boring Locations
The soil borings (P1 and P2)were located on the central portion of the site approximately 130 to
200 feet southwest of the existing shop. Refer to Appendix A, Plate 2 for the soil boring locations. l
1.5.2 Soil Boring Dimensions
The shallow and deep percolation test borings (P1 and P2)were drilled with a track mounted drillYJ
rig using continuous flight hollow-stem 6" augers to advance the borings. P1 was excavated to a y>
depth of approximately 3.5 feet bgs and P2 was excavated to a depth of approximately 25.0 feet C'
bgs. Refer to the Appendix A, Plate 2 for the boring locations.
1.5.3 Soil Lithology Observed
Responsive■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 8
