It should be noted that"year 2020 base plus project"traffic volumes(on both daily and peak hour basis)on
Jack Tone Road segment between S.R.88/S.R.12 and Brandt Road are close to triggering the need for
widening to a four lane arterial section. Per the County General Plan typical cross-section, within the
planned 84-foot right-of-way, a 60-foot wide. pavement section could be constructed that could
accommodate up to four 12-foot travel lanes. If a two-way center turn lane and wide shoulders were also
to be accommodated in-order to enhance safety along the project frontage; then the required cross-section
could potentially entail widening beyond the planned ultimate 84-foot right-of-way, which may not be
feasible. For this reason, it is recommended that the subdivision be redesigned to eliminate direct
residential property access to Jack Tone Road.
{
Lockeford Oaks Subdivision Traffic Impact Study Page 33
San Joaquin County R4071S002.DOC125-6450-14
