Hazelton Avenue_
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Mr. Karam:
Thank you for the opportunity to review the final Traffic Impact Study (TIS) for the
Proposed Lockeford Oaks Subdivision in San Joaquin County. The project site is located- _
on the northeast quadrant of the'Jack Tone Road/Brandt Road intersection, .near the
Lockeford Community.
Based on the review conducted by Caltrans Travel Forecasting unit, Caltrans Planning I
has determined that.this project will generate off-site traffic impact to the following
intersections: State Route (SR) 88/12, SR 88/Brandt Road, and SR 88/Jack Tone Road._
These intersections will require traffic mitigation in the form of "Fare Share"
contributions towards future improvements.
Caltrans Planning has reviewed the consultant's TIS and the recommended equitable
"Fare Share" responsibility of the project proponent towards the improvement of these
intersections as traffic impact mitigation and is outlined below:
SR 88/Jack Tone Road Intersection: Based on the consultant's TIS.analysis, equitable
share is calculated to be 6.06% of the total cost of future improvements. It is
recommended that this amount be collected from the project proponent and saved towards
future intersection improvements.
SR 88/Brandt Road Intersection: Based on the consultant's TIS analysis, equitable
share is calculated to be 9.13% of the total cost of fixture improvements. It is
recommended that this amount be collected from the project proponent and saved towards
future intersection improvements.
SR 12/88 Intersection: Based on the consultant's TIS analysis, equitable share is
calculated to be 8.99% of the total cast of future improvements. Total estimated cost of
improvement for this intersection is $2.1 million. It is recommended that the sum of
"Caltrans improves rwbMy across California•
6'N%S1.KARAM.LOCKEFORD OAKS SUBMISION
OKE REKE.ra s.•:.
