State law requires that <br /> land uses within airport areas of influence conform with the Airport Land Use Plan. <br /> The applicant proposes a major subdivision, creating 14 two-acre lots. The project <br /> site is located on the south side of Calimyrna road, north of Acampo, which is in <br /> Lodi Lind's Airport area of influence. The proposed project, approximately .55 mile <br /> from the point closest to the runway (using our GIS maps), falls within the <br /> Horizontal Zone and just outside of the 60 db CNEL noise contour area. Based on <br /> this approximate distance, any structure that exceeds a height of 29 feet must file <br /> a Notice of Proposed Construction or alteration (Form 7460-1) with the FAA, a <br /> copy of which is enclosed. <br /> According to the ALUP, few restrictions are necessary beneath the Horizontal <br /> surface. However, an avigation easement in favor of the airport has been made <br /> mandatory for all new residential subdivisions with 5 units or more, a copy of <br /> which is also included. Residential-use of the project site is permitted, but <br /> potential future owners should be notified of the proximity to the airport and the <br /> occasional noise disturbances associated with its use. Moreover, occupied <br /> structures must be soundproofed to reduce interior noise to 45 dB according to <br /> State guidelines. In addition, reflective materials are not permitted to be used in <br /> structures or signs, to avoid distracting pilots.
