Eleventh Street, Tracy, CA has been reviewed by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. (EHD). The plan is a proposal to extract contaminants in soil through excavation of a trench and from groundwater by extracting groundwater from the trench for off-site treatment and disposal. The soil and groundwater were contaminated due to unauthorized releases from the UST's formerly located on the 7500 W. Eleventh Street site. The trenching and groundwater extraction will occur at the 7507 W. Eleventh Street, Tracy site, where the impacted groundwater has migrated. J EHD has made a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance with local, State and Federal laws and regulations and that the resultant work will not create significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination. The interim remediation work plan is available for public review at the EHD office at 600 E. Main Street, Stockton during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Final approval for the plan is scheduled for 30 January, 2009.
