July 11, 2007
NOA Project Number. E07094A
6.7 Discussion of Percolation Test Results
The soils within the sewage disposal area of the site have demonstrated a satisfactory percolation
F1rate in accordance with the requirements of the EHD for the use of a standard septic system.
6.8 Discussion of Septic System Sizing
F11Our office has been contracted by the owners to design the septic system design and layout for the
F1proposed temple septic system expansion. These plans will be forthcoming.
7.0 CONCLUSIONS
1 J In summary, a satisfactory percolation rate of the soil was achieved in the proposed septic disposal
area of the site. The septic disposal area of the proposed expansion appears suitable for a standard
septic system expansion. Our.office has been contracted by the owners to design the septic system
F! design and layout for the proposed temple septic system expansion. These plans will be
forthcoming. In addition to these conclusions, please see the conclusions for the attached Nitrate
Loading Study,Part II.
F
No ground water was encountered in any of the borings drilled on the property. The depth to
ground water was found to be between approximately 60 and 70 feet below the ground surface for
the period of Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 based on the San Joaquin County Ground Water Maps.
The water well on site was tested for nitrate and DBCP. DBCP was not detected in the water
sample. The nitrate concentration in ground water was found to be 1.0 mg/L-N031 which is well
below the maximum contaminant drinking water limit of 45 mg/L-NO3.
i
8.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed at the
time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed that the test
holes and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area.
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed in
accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices. This warranty is in lieu of
t all other warranties either expressed or implied. Test findings and statements of professional
opinion do not constitute a guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied.
F
10
l
