Work Plan for 1Zefrned Plume Definition and Management ofFloating Product-7500 W 111h St., Tracy, C.1. Page 2
g 3
- Proposed Casing Total
.s Well No Diameter Depth Purpose
MW-15 continued contain no detectable concentrations of chemicals of
concern.
.. MW-16 2 in. 25 ft. To check for the presence of floating product and
investigate groundwater-quality along the plume axis
further down-gradient from Monitoring Well MW-7.
Groundwater-quality data from this location will also
be useful at later stages of site characterization to
evaluate intrinsic bioremediation and natural
attenuation chemicals of concern in groundwater.
MW-17 2 in. 25 ft. To investigate groundwater quality along the western
fringe of the plume of affected groundwater. It is
"IV., ; currently assumed that groundwater at that Iocation will
contain no detectable concentrations of chemicals of
concern.
MW-18 2 in 25 ft. To check for the presence of floating product and
investigate groundwater-quality along the plume axis at
long distance down-gradient from Monitoring Well
MW-7. Groundwater-quality data from this location
—VOW MW-7.
also be useful at later stages of site characterization
to evaluate intrinsic bioremediation and natural
attenuation chemicals of concern in groundwater.
MW-19 2 in 25 ft. To provide a monitoring location down-gradient from
the currently assumed northern limit of the plume of
-- affected groundwater to provide future warning if the
U northerly migration of the plume extends to that
distance from the source on the 7500 West Eleventh
. Street property.
7.2 Well Drilling and Soil Sampling
Permits for construction of the proposed wells will be obtained from the SJCEHD. Where
`r necessary, application will be made to the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works
(SJCDPW) for encroachment permits to install wells in the public highways. Bonds to
ensure proper maintenance of such wells will also be secured.
The monitoring well borings for the wells having a 2 in. diameter will be advanced using an
8-in., open-stem auger mounted on a drilling rig operated by a drilling contractor holding a
C57 license issued by the California Contractors State License Board. In the case of the 6 in.
diameter wells the boring will be 12 in. in diameter. A California-licensed geotechnical
SJC
