Work Plan for Refined Plume Definition and Management of Floating Product-7500 W 11th St., Tracy, CA. Page 34
j
,i- 8.8 Groundwater Elevations and Measurement of Thickness of Floating Product
After a delay of at least one week following well development, the depth from the top of the
casing to the water table will be measured using a groundwater-floating product interface
detection probe. That instrument will also record thickness of floating product in the well.
The measurements will be recorded and included in the quarterly groundwater-quality reports
that are filed with the SJCEHD.
Note:
As discussed in Section 5.2.1, the actual thickness of floating product in the
formation is generally less than the thickness of floating product measured in a
well.
8,9 Schedule
The floating product monitoring wells will be installed during the same construction period
as the groundwater-quality monitoring wells. Measurement of LNAPL thickness in those
wells will also be scheduled to coincide with groundwater-quality monitoring and will be
reported in the engineering report that will be published within 60 days following receipt of
the analytical result from the first monitoring round.
Thereafter, floating product thicknesses will be measured during future, scheduled rounds of
groundwater-quality monitoring.
8.10 Cost Estimate
The estimated cost of the floating-product monitoring program is included in that for refined
groundwater plume definition and groundwater-quality monitoring presented in Section 7.10.
It
sic
