In conclusion,we feel that the poultry farm should remain as it stands today and should not be
allowed to expand-. We purchased our property with the poultry farm's capacity as it is.Had the
farm housed 1.2 million birds,we would not have considered purchasing our parcel in which to
build our family home. We are aware of San Joaquin County's right-to-farm policy, but an
expansion of this size could result in health risks to ourselves as well as neighboring families.
The expansion would also decrease our land values. These are our family homes and we feel that
we should be able to live comfortably and enjoy a life free of any additional inconveniences or
discomforts. This project,if approved, would impact too many lives in our neighborhood. We
ask that our homes be taken into consideration by the San Joaquin County Community
Development Department,as well as the propertyownerWilliam Huang, and the applicant,
Richard Jenkins.
Sincerely,
Kevin and Jill Turner
We would like to receive notice of the staff determination of this project from the Community
Development Department.
