Neighborhood Opposition
A letter of opposition was received from a neighboring property owner on February 21, 2014.
The neighbor expressed concerns regarding the potential traffic from the project site onto Mc
Allen Road and Wilson Way.
• The Department of Public Works and the California Department of Transportation
have been notified of the proposed applications and underlying project. If the
underlying project is submitted for application both Departments will have the
opportunity to comment on the application and will make recommendations to the
project if they find that there are traffic and safety related issues to ensure they
can be mitigated to a level of less-than-significant for surrounding roadways.
Recommendation
After reviewing the proposed General Plan Map Amendment and Zone Reclassification
applications, and based upon the analysis above, the Community Development Department will
be recommending approval of the applications to the Planning Commission. The Planning
Commission hearing for the above applications is tentatively scheduled for April 17, 2014. If the
Planning Commission recommends approval of the applications, then the applications will be
scheduled for a hearing with the Board of Supervisors. If the Planning Commission denies the
applications, then the applicants may appeal the denial to the Board of Supervisors within ten
(10) days after the Planning Commission hearing.
JLF:vb
PA-1400017(G P)&PA-1400018(ZRDC)03122014
Attachments
C: Randall P.
