P
I
i
I
The length of satisfactory septic service and the number of repairs indicate no cause for concern is
evident.A sand layer was detected on each of the four proposed parcels.
GROUNDWATER INFORMATION
10-'0 The map Lines of Equal Depth to Groundwater indicate approximately 45 feet to static water and
y' the gradient is westerly,
yy The existing well water was tested by FarWest Labs Inc., and the results are 23.0 mg/1 Nitrates
and<0.01 ug/L DBCP. These results are satisfactory.
No third party is involved in the sampling and testing. The log of the sampling is included.
`-' SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION
The soil profile was determined by observing the material as it is excavated by the driller. No pit
j was dug. The profile in general is as follow:
I
Flit 0-6 Hard pan
6-10 clay
FA, 0-13' Silty Sand
_4 13-25 Silty Clay
'•S' Pits are required to reach the sand layer. The leach lines will be in hardpan.
PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION
rThe surveyor's map shows the precise location of the four test holes. Three holes were augured
G• A on each parcel. Holes were drilled by a truck mounted augur on 10/25/05. The holes were sleeved
g with PVC pipe after 2" of gravel was placed in the bottom of the hole. Additional gravel was
ro'
placed around each PVC pipe up to approximately 6". (See protocol sheet diagram)The 24 hour
' pre-soak began on 10/27/05. The shallow holes received 12"of water and the deep test hole
G y received 6" of water.
The 4 hour testing began at 0900 on 10/28/05. All holes were empty of water. All the shallow
holes failed. All the deep holes passed.
{ G• The testing conformed to SJC Policy EHD 02-02. The EHD inspector was present for the
" required readings. A battery operated meter was used for all readings. The readings were
recorded on the EHD form.
The test results indicate satisfactory conditions to support a on-site septic system for a SFR on
each of the 4 parcels. A 6 000 SF leach field is required on each of the 4 parcels.
P q
! I
2.
F
I
