Glover, is submitting this <br /> attachment to the addendum to the "Workplan for Additional Subsurface Investigation" per our <br /> telephone conversation on June 21, 1996. The purpose of the additional activities proposed is to <br /> collect and analyze soil gas and groundwater samples for biochemical parameters to determine if <br /> bioremediation is occurring at this site. <br /> Smith Environmental proposes to conduct the following activities: submit for laboratoryanalysis <br /> soil gas samples from each boring for oxygen, carbon dioxide, and methane; conduct field analysis <br /> of grab groundwater samples collected from each boring and groundwater samples collected <br /> quarterly from monitoring wells MW 1, MW-2 and MW-3 for dissolved oxygen and oxidation- <br /> reduction potential, in addition to pH, specific conductance, and temperature; and submit grab <br /> groundwater samples from each boring and groundwater samples collected quarterly from MW-1, <br /> MW-2 and MW-3 for laboratory analyses for carbon dioxide, alkalinity, nitrate, sulfate, and <br /> ferrous iron in addition to total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, xylenes and methyl tertiary butyl ether. Field,methods for collecting soil gas <br /> samples and groundwater samples are presented in Attachment 1. <br /> All work described in this addendum will be performed in accordance with Smith <br /> Environmental's Field Procedures and Site Safety Plan on file with PHS/EHD, and will be <br /> performed under the direction of a California Registered Geologist or Professional Engineer.
