Box 282
French Camp, CA 95231
f Subject: REVISED SOILS SUITABILITY AND NITRATE LOADING STUDY
PROPOSED HENRY RESIDENCE AND ADJACENT PARCEL
10834 AND 10838 EAST COPPEROPOLIS ROAD
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Henry:
Kleinfelder is pleased to present the results of our soil suitability and nitrate loading study for the
proposed subject residence and adjacent parcel to be located near Stockton, California. The
purpose of our study was to determine the suitability of the property for septic tank usage. The
study was performed in general accordance with the requirements of Section 9-10100© of San
Joaquin County Ordinance. The following includes background information regarding the
proposed development, present use of the site, and the historical groundwater depths in the
project area. In addition, discussions regarding our investigative procedures, the site conditions
encountered during our field exploration, and the results of percolation tests are presented.
Finally, the results of our nitrate loading calculations and report limitations are provided.
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
On a preliminary basis, we understand the subject %2-acre project site, 10838 Copperopolis Road,
will contain a 3-bedroom, 2-bath single-family residence. The adjacent parcel, 10834
Copperopolis Road, required percolation testing as part of a deed restriction. It is our
understanding that the two %2-acre parcels are currently zoned rural commercial and the parcels
will be re-zoned to rural agricultural. We understand that San Joaquin County will allow two
homes to be placed on each parcel. Accordingly, our analysis is based on the assumption that 2
homes may be placed on each lot. The properties are each approximately 149 feet wide by 149
feet long. At the time of our visit, the relatively level site had an above ground sprinkler
irrigation system and lawn/grass cover. A gravel road ran along the west side of the site. A
well/pump and 2 pine trees were located near the gravel.road on 10834 Copperopolis Road
(northern parcel). Wood fencing surrounded the parcels.
20-4684-0LGO1/ST02R731 November 5,2002
©2002 Kleinfelder,Inc.
