• SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Joseph Sanguinetti to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study for his property located at 18626, 18638, and 18704 <br /> East Copperopolis Road, Linden, California (Plate 1). <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code. <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> A minor subdivision is proposed to divide the Site a 1.92-acre homesite parcel, a 3.24- <br /> acre homesite parcel, two 40.00-acre parcels, and a 78.25-acre designated remainder 'L <br /> (Plate 2). Mr. Sanguinetti indicated that no changes to the use of the Site are planned. <br /> • Site Description <br /> The Site consists of Assessor's Parcel Numbers (APN) 183-210-01 and -02, <br /> approximately 163 acres in size. It is located at 18626, 18638, and 18704 East <br /> Copperopolis Road, Linden, California. The Site is a walnut orchard with a large J <br /> agricultural facility, including four shops, a barn, two pole barns, an office, six silos, two <br /> houses, a cottage, and several sheds. Water is provided to the Site by a domestic well <br /> and an irrigation well (Plates 3 and 4). <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 75 to 80 feet above mean sea level (Plate 5). The Site is <br /> relatively flat. <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> • <br /> LOGE 1704 Page 1 <br />
