The project consists of a plan to subdivide a 23-acre parcel into ten 2-acre lots. The project is located on the northeast corner of Cooperopolis Road and Hewitt Road east of Linden, in San Joaquin County. Wildlife habitat resources consist of annual grasslands. Significant resources I within the project vicinity include vernal pool and vernal swale habitat. California j Natural Diversity Data Base files contain records for the tiger salamanderAmbystoma' j° cal fbrniense within the project vicinity. Additionally, environmental studies performed in an area a short distance east of the proposed project at the Flowers I Ranch disclosed the presence of vernal pools. We further recommend that surveys for sensitive species be conducted in coordination with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Assessment of fees under Public Resources Code Section 21089 and as defined by Fish and Game Codle Section 711.4 is necessary. Fees are payable by the project applicant upon filing of the Notice of Determination by the lead agency.
