7I
S- ANALYTICAL RESULTS
The analytical methods are those required in the "Tri-Regional
Guidelines" which are directives of the Regional Water Quality
Control Board and required by the SJCEHD.
The analyses completed were for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons, as
gasoline (TPHG) ; Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylene (BTEX)
via EPA Modified Method 8020/8015 and for the Oxygenates using
the EPA Method 8260.
A Soil Sampling Results
Table 2 displays the analytical results of the soil sampling
known to have been done on the subject property. The 4-96 data
were of a composite of two soil samples taken at approximately 2
feet below ground surface. The 7-96 data were collected in the
UST excavation approximately 2 feet into the native soil below
the UST and can be seen in the JPCA tank removal report, dated
August 12, 1996. The samples identified with MW or BT were
collected during the monitoring well construction which occured
in November 1997 .
The results of the soil samples in mg/Kg, ie parts per million
(ppm) for TPHG and BTEX are shown in Table 2. ND is < 1 ppm for
TPHG and < 0.005 ppm for BTEX and MTBE.
The soil samples which were analyzed for the Oxygenates had no
detectable concentrations of the Oxygenates, the detectable limit
are noted on the Laboratory Data Sheets. The Laboratory Data
Sheets with Chain of Custody are contained in the Phase II Report
completed for the subject property in November 1997.
B Groundwater Sampling Results
A cumulative tabulation to show groundwater fluctuations and the
analytical results, for the quarterly events of groundwater
sampling from the Monitoring wells, identified as MW-1, MW-2, MW-
3 and MW-BT in ug/L, i.e. parts per billion (ppb) , for
Oxygenates, TPHG and BTEX are shown in Table 3 .
The Laboratory Data Sheets, along with detection limits, and
Chain of Custody documentation are contained in the quaterly
monitoring reports previously submitted by JPCA.
5
